June 2009Standard Horizon have boosted the appeal of their no-nonsense CP180 and CP300 C-Map chart plotters by introducing combo units called the CPF 180i – priced at are £499.95 – and the CPF300i at £829.95.
Both include an integral GPS/WAAS receiver, and a 600W dual-frequency fishfinder, and both can accept and display data from an AIS receiver or can control and display the image from a SiTex radar scanner – though it must be said that a radar picture is much better on the 800x480 pixel, 7-inch screen of the CPF300i than on the 320x240 5-inch display of the CPF180i.
