Dean Barker (who helmed the New Zealand Americas Cup entries to victory in 2000 and 2007) and his business partner Richard Macalister have acquired the majority shareholding in the swedish electronics firm Nexus -- which was peeled off from its parent firm Silva two and a half years ago. Barker is said to be keen to be "an active participant in helping to move the business forward", but is unlikely to be involved in the day to day management of the company.
